Home Buyer Report
An economy service for purchasers, devised by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, which involves a far more detailed inspection and report than a valuation.
The report is generally considered suitable for modern, traditional properties and will include comment on all visible sections of the property.
An integral part of the report is a market valuation and recommended reinstatement cost for insurance purposes.
The survey will be carried out by a Chartered Building Surveyor spending approximately three to four hours at the property.
The cost of this type of survey starts at £345* depending upon the size and location of the building.
Full Building Survey
This is a more detailed type of report, particularly suitable for individual properties, including large, extended or older buildings.
The report will provide full details of all visible elements of the building detailing aspects of disrepair and defect.Such defects are photograped and incorporated within the report.
The report can also include information relating to the approximate costs for immediate and likely future repairs.
The cost of the this type of survey starts at £450* upwards, depending upon the size and complexity of the building.
